Concrete Repair
We have to admit that it is kind of ironic that we talk throughout the whole site about how concrete is such a durable product. Then here we are talking about repairs! We want to make sure that we can clear the air here so that if you are new to concrete you don’t leave the site with the wrong idea. The reality is that any type of floor or road is going to wear down through the years. There are plenty of factors that are going to come into play and contribute to this wear and tear. The best thing that one can actually do is be ready when issues appear!

When Is A Crack A Real Concern?

This question is actually tough for us. Anytime that there is a crack it usually means that something went wrong. The thing is you are probably not going to want to give us a call over every small crack that forms. So there is a balancing act in all of this. If there are multiple cracks that begin to form in a short amount of time then you really should think about giving us a call. If you see a crack that seems to be spreading across the floor then that would be a good reason to be at least a bit concerned.

How We Actually Repair

For the most part, we handle repairs in one of two ways. The first one being sealing the cracks to make sure that they don’t spread. This is a pretty quick repair that we can get done on cracks that are still relatively small. On the other hand, if you have larger issues we may need to think about more extreme measures. In some cases, we will have to remove the entire concrete slab and replace it with a new one to ensure that issues do not continue to develop.

How Long Should Concrete Last?

Most experts would agree that concrete is built to last around 40 years sort of in general. There are different types of concrete structures that could develop problems before that mark. These structures will usually include roads or other areas that get a lot of heavy duty traffic. If the concrete is put under enough pressure it will crack. Thankfully this is usually not an issue that you are going to have in your patio or other areas that are not getting heavy traffic at all!

Too Young For Repairs?

The main reason why it is important to make sure that only real pros are working on your concrete structure is the simple fact, that laying out concrete is not as easy as people could have you believe. If the original terrain is not set up properly it could actually be setting up the concrete flooring to fail. If you are having constant trouble with a concrete structure that is relatively young the issue may be traced back to the installation process. In which case we are literally going to have to dig deep to find a solution. Find out much more details about us.
